The Sennheiser SKM 5000 handheld transmitter provides 16 selectable frequencies, making it ideal for any touring or broadcast application. Meanwhile,five different microphone heads are available for the SKM 5000 hand-held transmitter: four condenser heads and one dynamic super-cardioid head. The condenser capsules will be the standard heads.They can be distinguished by a detailed sound pattern. They are clearer in the treble and have greater presence than dynamic capsules.
The dynamic capsule has a less detailed sound and some people find that it sounds "warmer". In addition, the dynamic capsule is more insensitive to moisture than the condenser models and is therefore especially suitable for hard rock 'n' roll.

I've owned one of these several years and it still is the best sounding mic I have ever found. I've been a musician, singer and sound engineer for over 30 years and couldn't count the number of diiferent mics I've tried. This mic makes almost anyone sound good. The quality and durability are unequalled.

This is the most well built piece of equipment I have ever used. I had four go through a down pour and a thunderstorm and all came out working; flawlessly. What does it take to break these things.

The SKM 5000 is the best mic i ever used. I use it on stage at youth for our praise and worship band at church. I also have one that is at home that i use it in my recording studio. The sound quality is great on stage and in the studio. It is the best mic you can ever buy.
